NBA …

5 03 2010

haha…Went to watch NBA again.
Portland Trail Blazer vs Indiana :)
It’s the Mascot Birthday, so quite a fun presentation where they have a lot other states Mascot here too, including the Oregon Ducks and Beavers too…
And the NBA ticket is half off! Took the second cheapest seat, after add all the misc fees, it’s in total $32 for 2 person, so one person like $16 only :) haha…
and since Portland score is 102! So we get Chapula from Taco Bell! haha…
Aiya, missed the McDonald challenge to get 4 3-pointers in 1st half.

Downtown Portland, Rose Garden and Vista House

29 06 2009

Last 2 days for my parents here. We decided to go somewhere near, with not so heavy traveling. So we decided to go Rose Garden at Washington Park, then Downtown Portland and Vista house(since we missed that one earlier).

Rose Garden: Guess last time we’re too early, and this time we’re a bit late. Most of the roses are starting to “fade”. But there’s still a lot roses around :) And it’s FREE entrance. A really nice place to visit.

Downtown Portland:
Union Station: We paid Union Station a visit and get up the “hanging bridge” and take a close look at the steel bridge and the Union Station clock Tower. Hmm, since it’s hanging bridge, you can feel it’s “swinging”…. even without strong wind :|

Chinatown: Surely we won’t missed Chinatown as a stop, but it’s not much happening there as most shops are either For Sale or closed for the Sunday. We didn’t go into the Chinese Garden…

Saturday Market: I just love to walk around and look at things here. There’s so many stalls selling all sorts of nice and cool stuffs ;) And most important, yummy yummy. I love to eat the Elephant Ears :)

Waterfront: Another relaxing place and especially nice to go during the blooming season :) This time around the year, it’s green and not too hot. So if sit around and sunbath, it’s very enjoying. There’s kids around the fountain, dressed in swim suit to play around with the fountain.

Vista house: We dropped by Women’s Forum first and then only proceed to Vista house. At Women’s Forum, we can overlook Vista House. It’s so tiny and so high up beside the cliff of Columbia Gorge :) Very fasinating. This is my third trip here, and this is the hottest and with clear view of the Gorge.
